   About us

History
In the late 1980's, when FidoNet BBSs were popular, Programmer's Corner was developed to provide information and program resources to the local programming hobbyists and professionals. In 1997, Programmer's Corner moved to the internet, and continued on until late 2002.
In November 2002, I made a decision to repurpose the website and change its name. The result is Vircom's Webmaster Library. The new site will concentrate on tools of interest to web developers.
Current Content
Vircom's Webmaster Library is a catalog or archive site providing applications of interest to web developers. The archives are divided into a number of different categories to make browsing easier. As time permits, I plan on adding reviews of many of the programs in the catalog, thus providing a valuable service to my intended audience.
About the Webmaster

My name is James May. I have been involved in electronics and computers for many years, and have worked in programming and technical writing. In the last six to eight years, my interests have been in web design and digital photography. Technology just keeps getting better and more exciting as time goes on.
In creating my sites I use a very good development tool called Anansi. I have used this program for many years, and even though I have tried many others, this one is still one of my favorites. I use TopStyle Lite for creating and editing my style sheets. Style sheets are that wonderful invention that makes development so much easier, and maintenance a dream rather than a chore.
I use Paint Shop Pro as my graphics editor of choice. I use a number of other graphics and miscelaneous html utilities as well, and I will be doing some reviews of these as time goes on. I hope you find this site useful and keep coming back.
